Can I support a cause that's not on your list?

If your cause is not listed, you are welcome to add your organization to our list!

NOTE: Some causes are known by a shortened name - for example: (ASPCA) but may be listed by their fuller name (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

We strongly recommend you always perform a careful search for your cause first to avoid duplicate listings.

Your cause qualifies to be listed if it is:

  • located in the U.S. or Canada (including Puerto Rico)
  • engaging in legal activities that benefit the public good
iGive.com does NOT require a cause to be 501(c)-3 or otherwise tax-exempt.

Whether your cause is large or small, it's welcome here.

We have tried to make listing a cause a simple process.

First- in order to list a new cause, you must register an individual iGive member.  This is free and only requires an email address, a password of your choice and your zip code.

As a member of iGive.com, you can list a new cause at any time.

Needed Information:
You'll need to supply a valid mailing address and contact email for your cause so we can contact them with further information and ensure we know where to send the check!

Checks must be cut to the listed Cause Nameand we will not accept any cause listings that are just an individual's name.

Some banks will accept variations such as “Cause Name c/o Jane Doe” or "John Doe Medical/Education/etc. Fund".  You will have to list your cause in a way that is acceptable with your bank.

Causes with similar names, or chapters will need to add a unique distinction, such as "American Cancer Society - Minnesota".
